Family Engagement and Leadership
The Family-Run Executive Director Leadership Association (FREDLA) serves as the national representative and advocate for family-run organizations and their executive directors, and supports effective stewardship of family-run organizations. It is dedicated to building leadership and organizational capacity of state and local family-run organizations. FREDLA’s mission extends to executive directors, board members, mid-level managers, peer support providers and partner agencies and organizations.
As a core partner in the TA Network, FREDLA provides training and technical assistance (TA) on all aspects of family support including best practices, professional development and parent peer support, and facilitates peer-to-peer sharing across member family-run organizations.
Through its pool of family-run organization leaders across the country, FREDLA supports family involvement and collaborations between family-run organizations and systems of care (SOC) in several ways, and provides TA on a range of topics including: Engaging families and building family voice; developing a family-run organization; financing family-run organizations; peer support practice models; strategic planning; and peer connection across family organizations.
